Can thanks to Steve. It pours black with a thick, foamy and dense tan head. The aroma is rich roast malt, earthy, plenty of coffee roast, cacao nibs, molasses, burnt toast and liquorice. The taste is dry, bitter, hard roasted malt, umami, plenty of coffee, burnt toast, ash and some peppery spice with a drying finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Could maybe be done with just a touch of sweetness to provide some balance. Carbonation is a bit high also. Not too shabby.

.5l can from Halftime. Dark amber, opaque,, patchy head. Malty aroma, leather, tobacco, plums. Taste is sweet, malty, tangy, with the feeling thats there some alcohol behind this. A modest 9.5%, but still seems heavy.
