Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, bit burnt/chalky, a touch of liquorice, slightly fruity with soft notes of berries, coffee. Flavour is firmly bittter with a relatively low sweetness. Body is medium. Nicely roasty, bit chalky, on the bitter side rather than sweet. Good.

Can from Beer in a Box. Rich roasted malts with coffee, chocolate, notes of mocha. Good body, flavour is a nice bittersweetness. Just the basics but tasty Baltic Porter, underrated!

Can. Tonka aroma with chocolate, roast, vanilla, burnt beans, more tonka in the finish. Medium sweet with a moderate bitterness, burnt notes in the finish. Above medium body. Well-balanced, no Tonka overkill.

Can from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Nicely roasty and bitter with dark chocolate, some tobacco, coffee, caramel, touch of tar. Hint of liquorice. Good bitterness, moderate to medium sweet. Very good Porter.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Aroma is roasted malt with bourbon, chocolate, alcohol. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter with some booze in the finish. Medium to full body, soft mouthfeel. Good stuff.

Can. Medium stable bubbly foamy head, quite clear intense yellow colour, tequila and wood aroma, candy and lemon behind, sweet, almost cloying and alcoholic, candy and citrus. Nice idea but much too heavy.

33cl can from Anderson's Christmas calendar 2024. Pours clear mahogany coloured with a dissipating, tanned head. Malty aroma with notes of dried dark fruits, whiskey, wood, vanilla, alcohol and caramel. Sweet and slightly boozy, flavourful and desserty. Not quite my cup of tea, but certainly decent.
