Description
2014. Een kleine groep enthousiaste bierliefhebbers en een droom ontmoeten elkaar. Dat die lief konden hebben bleek wel! Dat ze dromen konden verwezenlijken ook! Inmiddels bestaat het brouwteam uit 7 toegewijde mensen met brouwer Rob Bours, destijds huurbrouwer ‘Brasserie Bours’, aan het creatieve roer. Samen met David Hendrich, schrijver van het boek ‘historische brouwerijen van Eindhoven’, en oprichter van Eijkenrode bier hebben zij Brouwerij 100 Watt het leven ingeblazen.

In 2023 bundelden we onze krachten met niemand minder dan van Moll en Stadsbrouwerij 013 om samen een gloednieuwe brouwerij te creëren, onder de naam Lighttown Brewers. We kijken uit naar een stralende toekomst vol smaakvolle avonturen. Proost op wat komen gaat!

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, deep copper colour with average, frothy to macropore, constantly diminishing, off-white head. Quite neutral aroma, some grain and yellow apple, hints of raisin. Taste is slightly spicy yeasty, minimally fruity, hints of apple and raisin; quite neutral grainy body, hints of alcohol.

Tap @ BBF. Clear golden yellow colour with a small to medium sized white head. Smells hops, fresh, fruity, apricot, nice. Tastes hops, fruity, sweet, some malts, bitter, nice. Served a bit too cold imo. Thin to medium body, nice carbo.

Draught @ Oirschots Bierfestival. Clear yellow color, medium sized fairly quickly diminishing white head. Light citrus hops and spicy hops in the arma. Taste lightly malts, lightly spicy hops and moderately bitter. Average body and carbonation. Ok beer.

Nice clear, dark brown colour. Has a fairly nutty and malty taste. So e toasted malts. Reminds me of a good ESB.

Draught @ Stadsbrouwerij Eindhoven. Clear light orange golden color, medium to full sized off-white head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is malts, lightly grains and a hint of biscuits. Taste malts, lightly grainy, quite some malt bitterness. Lingering bitter finish. Average body, soft carbonation. A little unadventurous imo, but no flaws. We’ll have to wait and see where it goes from here.

Draught @ The brewery. Lightly hazy yellow color, medium to full sized white head. Aroma is malts, herbs or spices, slightly a touch of fruits. Taste malts, again a touch of herbs or spices, slightly yeast, lightly a touch of fruit and softly bitter. Average body and carbonation. Ok blond.
