Founded in late 2017, ETKO Brewing was made of humble love for simple, yet enjoyable beer that makes you want to have another one. By “humble” we mean “brewing beer in a bathroom in somebody’s flat” -humble – the typical story of how Finnish craft beer scene came to be by trial and error, flamed by the enthusiasm of being at the frontier of something new. Any pour could be the beginning of an adventure!

ETKO shares its facilities with Factory Brewing. Etko Brewing is more of an "All-round" brewery, which means making all kinds of beer.

Mild smell of hops, flowers. Cloudy amber colour, creamy head. Aroma of hops, grass, flowers, some grapefruit. Medium bitter, also sweet. Soft carbon. Nicely balanced.

Tap @ Stones, Helsinki. Pours hazy, bit muddy orange, some foam that leaves lacings. Nose is soft and juicy, not really clean nor in balance but has that wheaty character it's supposed to have. Taste is somewhat unbalanced, medium bitterness feels a bit harsh, grassy rather than fruity overall feel. No elegance there but still very much drinkable.

Tap at Roosters, Oulu. Color is deep red with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Berries, red berries, some lactoce and some malts. Looks beautiful! Not much Beer elements. Better than average Finnish sour.

Tap @ Black Door. Poured hazy orange deep color. Sweet, juicy, herbal and citric aroma. Flavor has citrus, grapefruit, hops. Dryish finish, not much bitterness.

(Keg at Black Door, 20181221) The beer poured pale golden and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness and grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, coconut, citricness and bitterness. Aftertaste had coconut and bitterness. Sorachi Ace?

Hazy, copper brown beer with medium white cloudy head. Aroma has caramel, citrus and pine. Taste has malts, pine and some dry and bitter citrus. Good beer!

Tap at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Colour is almost black with very small white head. Aromas and flavours: Coffee, some chocolate and roasted malts. Easy porter.
