16 oz. can from Greg & Jane's. Darker brown in color, light lasting head. Aroma is roasted nuts, earthy grain, and maple. In the flavor the maple rides the line of being too dominate. The earthy grain and roasted chestnuts almost balances everything. Mouthfeel is ok, it is not syrupy but definitely a tad sticky.

Taster pour at Powder Keg Beer and Chili Festival. Appearance is hazy light brown with decent sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with poor retention. Aroma is strong yeast--bordering on bile/vomit-- mildly unpleasant, with a little bit of fruity ester, wheat, some nondescript sweetness. Taste is mild fruity esters and quite tart though not obnoxiously so (to be sour) but definitely tart. After initial tart blast fades, there is a graininess, of the cracker/biscuit variety. Palate is surprisingly light bodied with thin texture, average to lively carbonation, tart dominant finish with sweet sugary quality. Overall, the tart quality dominates and not entirely for the better.

12 oz can bought in NH. Clear dark amber pour with a large creamy khaki head and great retention. Good lacing. Where's the caramel flavor? This tastes more like a hefe than an amber ale. Pass.

From my brother: pours a clear light brownish reddish color. Woody, cherries, funk. Kind of sour, sort of light for its size. Kind of fruity. Not grate.

From my brother: well this is old but it is a brown ale so it ahould probably be fine. Pours reddish brown with a beige head. Looks pretty nice actually. Taste is nutty with loads of caramel. Actually pretty good. I was impressed. Makes a brown ale pretty interesting.

Draft at Chunky’s Haverhill looks like pineapple juice no head. Aromas of tropical fruit mango pineapple floral notes and pine. Taste is floral citrus and long bitterness throughout.

Bottle from a Lazy Dog. Brilliantly clear deep reddish brown with a good sized tan head that dissipates quickly. Vinous fruity tart cherry on the nose with a hint of brown sugary maltiness underneath. Fruity and tart flavor but not overwhelmingly so as there is still a bit of sweet malty sugar. Pretty tasty beer, not overly sour earthy or funky.

Cask at Cask and Vine 300 Pints Fest. Hazy golden color. Aroma is off, rubbery plastic with bits of earthy grassy hops and the flavor isn’t much better. This cask went off.
