30/5/2021. Can shared with Dan and ITFCfan, from Hoppily, Leigh-on-Sea. Pours clear golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma of malt, citrus, tropical fruit, passion fruit, husky notes. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Nice bitterness to finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle ordered from the brewery. Aroma has a whiskey tinge but over is sweet, creamy and oat with a touch of coffee. Irish Cream. Darkest brown. Glossy. Creamy foamy head soon retreats. Initial smidgen of sweetness before the barrel influenced medium-heavy bitterness kicks in and remains until the finish, where it's joined by a sour streak. Vague impressions of sweetness which get beaten down by the booze and bitterness. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long boozy astringent finish. The aroma is lovely but it sets the beer up for a fall. Following that promise of Irish Cream is whiskey spiked bitterness. Warming but no great depth to it.
