Draught @ Black Door. Aroma has somewhat acidic apple tones, white wine, floury and mellow milky tones. Flavour has white wine, somewhat tart apples and mellow milky tones. A bit too dry and white wine -like for me.

Draught @ Black Door. Aroma has sweetish, ripe apples and some apple peel. Flavour has ripe, slightly floury apples and apple peel. Feels rather leathery. Laphroiag aromas are in the background. Finishes with slight peaty feeling. Interesting, this could work even better with stronger whiskey aromas.

2015-02-19: Name has changed to "Jyrki Whisky Cask" on Black Door billboard.

33 cl bottle (4,6%) @ home, BBE 01/2015
Aroma has ripe and floury apples. Also sweet apple tones, some apple peel and leathery tones. Flavour is somewhat leathery with sweetish, ripe and some floury apples. Some foamy and fizzy CO2 on palate. Nice, starts to feel a bit too sweet after some sips though.

Aroma is somewhat stale with ripe apples and some leathery tones. Also some apple peel. Flavour has sweetish apples, some leathery tones, apple peel and and hints of urinal. Often Finnish winery ciders are unclean but this one isn’t.

Bottle 0.33l at Leijuva Lahna, Helsinki. BBE 5/14. Colour is clear golden with very small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, apples, dryness and sweetness. Nothing special.

Bottle 0.275l at Black Door, Helsinki. BBE 8/14. Colour is slightly cloudy yellow with very small bubbly white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, apples, dryness and some sweetness. Quite enjoyable. I’m not fan of ciders but this is one of the best Finnish ciders I have tasted. Probably best.
