Bottle. A clear, dark brown beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is fruity with a sour touch, but not in the usual infected Samsø way. Roasted, slightly sourish flavor with caramel maltyness. Rather weak and boring. Medium body. Caramel and roasted malt in the finish. Contrary to most Samsø beers I’ve had, this one lacks (fortunately) the heavy infection. It’s sure drinkable, but oh so boring. (080229)

(bottle, courtesy of Papsoe) Cloudy, murky orange colour with a big, diminishing frothy, minimal off-white head. Moderately sweet and yeasty, slightly sourish citrus fruity aroma with light piney hops and spicy and flowery accents. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel. Fruity and malty, slightly wheaty taste with early arriving spicy notes; moderately dry, slightly spicy and minimal piney hoppy finish (21.03.08).

Bottle. Frothy off-whte good mostly deminishing head. Dark orange colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Careamellic notes. Average light bitter finish. Slightly infected, like not well succesfull homebrew. Watery palate and too fizzy. Another bad beer from samsø.

Bottle, 6.5%. Slightly acidic malt aroma. Looks slimy and thick-flowing. Cloudy red colour. Small white head. Slimy mouthfeel. The flavour is not so sour as expected. Acidic, but almost drinkable. Finishes with some roasted notes, perhaps liquorice. Not past BB date, but with a clearly developed infection.

Bottle. Pours a golden body with some floaties and a little hazyness. Small, dense, beige head. The aroma has the usual Samsø sourness, but it also has a sugary sweetness, fruits and a touch of alcohol. Quite pleasant for a Samsø, at least if imagined without the sourness. Quite astringent in the mouth, with a lot of sugary sweetness and a fruityness. Alcohol too. Medium full body. Long sourish finish with a supporting sweetness and warming alcohol. Could probably be interesting without the sourness, which I assume is from infection, not fruits. Or maybe it’s too sweetish, guess I’ll never know. (080102)
