Born out of the creative and inspirational beer scene of Brighton, Laine Brew Co beers are an art form in themselves – each one a playful composition of flavour, inventiveness and good times. They’re unfiltered, unpasteurised, uncompromising – and unique.
We create highly individual and authentic craft beer which is accessible to all, and tastes so damn good! Our core range is focused on consistent, sessionable beers and supported with some awesome, locally inspired designs (think Brighton Skyline guys). We also brew short run, specials and collaboration beers at our North Laine Brewhouse. These are our limited edition wild, weird and wonderful beers that are all a little bit different but brewed just as lovingly as our core range!
Surrounded by the South Downs national park, the brewery is rooted in the countryside while keeping close ties with Brighton.
In 2022, Laine exited its Adversane facility and consolidated brewing by acquiring Harlow's Redchurch Brewery. By September 2025, Laine shut Redchurch and ceased direct brewing to focus on its pubs, outsourcing production to the Keystone Brewing Group.

Can from Lidl. Clear gold, small white head. Aroma of citrus, pine and a hint of caramel. A nice tangy fruitiness through the taste, I pick up lime and grapefruit. A solid malt base behind. Has a grassy bitter bite in the finish. Near medium bodied and smooth texture. Can from Flavourly. Light hazy amber-gold, small but fairly tight white head, notable sediment floating gracefully. Odd aromatic fruit aroma sent me straight to the ingredients - contains grapefruit and orange essence. Taste is unpleasant synthetic fruit flavouring. Would have been better off with cheap fruit concentrate, at least it would taste better. My first Laine beer and may be my last.

Can from Lidl. Murky orange-brown colour with big fluffy head. Aroma is floral, citrus zest, yeasty bread dough. Taste of orange and lime zest, pineapple, bread, pepper, some bitterness in the finish. Light bodied, fairly high but fine carbonation. A bit of a malty IPA but I enjoyed it. There are still some nice balanced hops and a decent finish.

Golden colour with a fair head. Drank at the large Royal Hotel on a prominent position on the main road through Bolton-le-Sands, although in their rear garden given the unusually warm December weather. A bitterness follows some lovely caramels in this seasonal effort.
