Sampler at source. This should be listed as a DIPA, not ASA. Dark orange amber color that completely covers the side of the glass as you drink it down. Aroma is a fresh bouquet of hops - some citrus, some fruit nicely blended, no/low pine. Medium bitterness on the nose. Alcohol appropriately pleasant with a present neutral malt background. Flavor is hop profile with a medium hip bitterness that overtakes the flavor and leads into the aftertaste. As the beer warms up there is a mild diacetyl character. I could see less sensitive people not picking it up. Also, I don’t mind the character as much but I could see those that dislike it really penalizing the beer for it. I actually think in this case it provides a nice characteristic to balance the hops.

On tap at Elliott bay. Pours out a copper topped with a small sand head. Aroma of spice nutmeg pumpkin and rich malts. Taste is as the aroma with the pumpkin leading the way. This is my first pumpkin beer for the season. It’s a pretty good start.
