Draft 4 oz pour at Elliott Bay Lake City. Pours a dark copper color with a thin oily head. Subtle sweet malt aroma with little holiday ale indication. Flavor is malty up frony, sweet, very little spice. Tastes like a standard brown ale to me. Expecting a bomb of holiday spice the way this was advertised. Not bad, but something was missing.

Draft pour to a tulip at Elliott Bay Lake City. Take an old imperial IPA recipe, and make it even stronger and better. I’m okay with that. Pours a dense, bold orange color with sticky rows of foam lacing. A subtle aroma of hops and orange fruit. Flavor is rich with orange and tropical fruits, a juicy explosion of hop flavor and a cool finish that slowly fades to a bitter linger. Big time hop punch here. Sweet, bitter, juicy, delicious. This is a moder imperial IPA for my taste. Fantastic beer for when you have time for only one, and dammit, you gotta make it count!

Draft pour pint at the Lake City location. Listed at 5.7%, 34 IBU. Dark copper pour with a ton of cream head and lacing. Sweet and spicy malt aroma. Flavor is a dense caramel malt, some spice, and a creamy cool finish. I love a well executed, very flavorful lager. Solid offering here.

Draft pour pint at the Lake City location. I used to drink coffee with breakfast. I still do, but I put it in the beer. Hard to beat it. Jet black pour. Tons of tan foam head. Smooth and slightly rich cream body, coffee flavor, no bitter. Smooth, chocolate, drinks wonderfully. Model breakfast stout here. These guys are underrated.

Draft pour to a tulip at the Lake City location. Dark reddish bronze color with a thin tan head. Nice, complex aroma with black cherry and barrel oak. This is something I want to throw into a blind with others on the style. Very well made, though less was expected for some reason. Malt up front, but buried quickly by cherry flavor. Juicy cherry finish that is not sweet nor really dry. Has a decent tart to it that kinda becomes an afterthought. 6/10 in sourness. Overall an excellent Flanders here. They got something with this one.

Sampler at Burien location. This is very similar to the Big Pun I had here not too long ago. Dark red broen aged color. Love the actuslly mysty, musky, lightly cherry abd earthy Flanders character. Mid flavor an acetic spike. A livelier carbonation. Finishes with light and lively cherry Flanders sourness. Again, not sure it’s a different beer but I like it a lot.

Sampler at Burien location. A very clear pale orange golden shade. I guess I just don’t like Citra, after a few years of this, this hop sucks to me. It’s like lightly sweaty tea socks. The underneath beer is not a saison but an inoffensive if dull Belgian ale with light fruit sweetness and a mineral quality.

Sampler at Burien location. Dark copper color, clear, medium lacing. Some well lagered toffee sweetness, just a hint of a fruit hop, dry and lightly malt biter finish. The light bitterness and toffee last a while in the aftertaste. Very well executed, I have a soft spot for Viennas and this fits my bill.

Sampler at Burien location. Pale color. A bit hazy. Light lacing. A little lemon, light herbal hops. Flavor has a little bitter herbal character. Downsides are ts a bit sweet for the style, a bit heavier, a bit of a fruit/apple coming through. Needs a bit more lagering and maybe a bit less malt.

Draught at Columbia City Ale House, Seattle; 10oz
Dark brown color. To me, this is a dark amber or brown Ale with unwanted sourness. The sourness is not excessive, but it’s disturbing.
Quite sure this is unwanted.
