Emma and Alex Phillips (Em and Al), are a husband and wife team devoted to Devon. They run successful businesses involved in event hire, hospitality, catering, direct wholesale, coffee sales and now in the brewing of real ale.

Bottle shared with Sarkynorthener cheers Martin; dark chestnut brown pour with a small creamy off white head, aroma dark fruits in syrup, taste is sweet, dark fruits, some molasses, robust malts.

bottle from somewhere in East Devon. Amber colour with a mid-sized off-white head. Malty start, some caramel, good earthy-grassy hoppy finish.

Bottle from Gardiner Haskins, Bristol. Deep brown in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Sweet, malty, nose, with a hint of berry fruits and chocolate powder. Flavour was similarly sweet, with rich maltiness, a vague fruitiness and gentle finish. Ok.

Bottle from Gardiner Haskins, Bristol. Deep gold with, a slight, white, head. A beer dominated by overripe, sweet, malts, with little hop character and not much of a finish. Sink pour.

Bottle from Gardiner Haskins, Bristol. Slightly hazy and gold in colour, with a thin, white, head. Sweet, malty, nose, with a hint of tangerine and leafy hop. Flavour was similarly sweet, with rich tea malts, a vague fruitiness and gentle finish with a floral touch. Ok.
