Sample at Pizza Port San Clemente. This beer is a clear golden color with a medium creamy off-white head that evaporates slowly. Small patches of lacing. Hops and citrus in the nose. Medium, clean body with flavors of fruity hops and mild malt. The finish is light grassy hops with a short lightly bitter aftertaste. A little above average overall.

Hazy mahogany with a medium to large beige and slightly creamy head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel, nuts, chocolate and hops. Flavor came out slightly sweet with roasted malt, caramel, nuts, chocolate, hops and dark fruit. Finished fairly dry and slightly bitter.

Draft. Rich brown beer with a cream colored head. Cocoa and light nutty aroma. Nutty malt flavor with some cocoa. Medium bodied. Nuttiness lingers with malt and a bit of cocoa.

On tap. Pours dark brown with an orange hue and an off-white head. Lightly nutty nose. Medium body, hard roasted malts and nuts. Fairly bitter finish, some of it from the malts I believe. 080709

From tap at Pizza port San clemente. Pours dark andgolden brown with a small white head. Aroma is light butterish and caramel malty base. Sweet malty and light toffeish base. Caramelish sweet.

From tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is grassy and light hoppy. Light grassy and dry flavoured. Bitter finish, crisp and dry.

Draught Deep brown with foxy highlights and a mossy shine; smalllish head. Malty, with an almondlike aroma. A sweetish underbuild, but well-(orangey, citrussy)hopped in flavour - oh surprise, surprise. Slick, but dry, not in the least from the rather un-British hopoils. Well, ’nuff said. Beginning SoCal brewer.
