Cask at the Bootlegger, 20/11/16. Rich amber pour with a well appointed cream cap. Nose is caramel malt, sweet tunes, biscuit, light hop presence, candied orange peel. Taste carries a sweet malt base, orange rinds, caramel, biscuit, fruit esters. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close doused with subtle hop bitterness. Ok cask offering ... more an English IPA or ramped up ESB but a little too much hop tang to list the beer in the ESB style.
