Overripe lemon and apricot nose. Hazy amber, thick lacy peach colored head. Thin, watery mouthfeel. Overripe lemon and stale raspberry flavor on a blanket of stale malt. Really not so great.

Draft at the VA Craft Brewers Festival, Devils Backbone, 8/24/13. Pours a hazy pink color with a thin frothy head. Fair head retention. Aroma of wheat, berries and a big lactic sourness. The taste is the same with some citrus as well. Medium bodied, refreshing, quite tart. Nice.

12oz can pours a completely clear, light straw gold with some creamy, lacing white head. Nose is light flour, malt, cracker, grass, heavy straw, lemon. Flavor is sort of similar, flour, bread, lemon, grass, hay, straw, a little honey. Clean finish. Decent.

Total Wine, Fairfax sixer: Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is American hops, with some grass, and bread. Taste is nice and hoppy, with more of an American pine direction than a German grassy one. Refreshing and crisp of course. Tasty and sessionable.

Total Wine, Fairfax six pack of cans: Pours amber with off-white head. Aroma is piny hops, citrus hops, and a wee bit of malt. Taste is quite bitter for an amber. Hops make this a rather dry sipper. Plenty of hop aftertaste. Good, but not as sessionable as I hoped that it would be, but then again, it is a pretty fierce looking can.

Cask at the brewpub. Pours a hazy amber color with nearly no head. Aroma of strong chilis, herbal hops, faint wood. The taste is strong chilis, herbal hops, mild toasted malts. Medium bodied.

World of Beer, Arlington tap: Pours black with a beige head. Aroma is mostly lightly roasted malts, grain, and a hint of strawberry. The beer tastes like a schwarbier entirely up to the finish when a hint of the strawberry starts to manifest it as a sort of nice bonus at the end. All things considered, this was done pretty well.

Had this at the Summer NOVA BrewFest. Poured a dark brown color with a bit of translucency, with notes of strawberries, caramel notes. Flavor was actually light strawberries, a touch of chocolate, bitter notes. Pretty drinkable for such a hot summer day.

Can from Wine Warehouse, Charlottesville. Pours amber-brown, clearm crisp. Pinkish-tan head. Smells of bitter grapefruit and pine. Nice bite of grapefruit, orange peel, pine, and a hefty malt.

Growler from the brewpub. Pours a near black color with a thin tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, a faint bit of green apple. The taste is roasted malts, coffee, bitter hops, mild green apple note. Thin-medium bodied, lingering bitterness.
