Fra fat på Cardinal, DSJT nov-14: rødlig kobber med kort skum (men vanskelig å se fargen i så dempet belysning). Mild aroma med snev av karamell, kanel og anis. Smaken likeledes, og med mild bitterhet. Slank/tynn. Minner litt om biere de garde, av en eller annen grunn. Flaske delt med Willy i klubbhuset jan-18: mørk rødbrun med ok skum. Fin aroma og god maltdrevet smak med behagelig, krydret bitterhet. Velbalansert og lettdrikkelig. Opp fra opprinnelig 2.8.

On tap @ Kick. Dark brown, almost black body with a decent looking off-white head. Aroma is rather mild malty with hint of caramel, dry fruit, wood (forest) and slightly spicy. Flavor is medium sweet dark malt, hint of caramel, dry fruit, wood, low bitterness and a bit earthy. Medium body and mild aftertaste developing something more spicy, like a feeling of dry cinnamon powder. Easy to drink and slightly original, but nothing really impressive going on here.

Sample from 5 liter partykeg. ABV is 6.2%. Golden colour, slightly hazy. Large white head. Moderate fruity aroma, hints of tropical fruits. Medium sweet flavour, well hopped, but tastes a bit "raw". Fairly bitter finish.

From partykeg at Mi2 at Cardinal 10.11.12. Greyish pale amber. Beige head and lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, orange marmelade, wood and yeast. Similar, but better taste. Balanced with bitterness.

Rerate, on tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Cloudy reddish brown colour, creamy beige head. A hint of butter in the aroma, otherwise like first sample. The flavour has also some roasted malts in the finish, otherwise like first sample. Keeping the same score. Original rating:Test bottle from the brewery. Reddish brown colour, slightly hazy. Moderate off-white head. Malty aroma, hints of caramel and spices, also initial hints of fruity hops. Medium sweet flavour, notes of caramel and mild spices, distinct American hops throughout, medium bitter finish.

Test bottle from brewery at Mi2 at Cardinal 10.11.14. Cloudy amber. Dark beige head.Fruity aroma with sweet berries and dried fruits. Equally fruity taste is well balanced with bitterness. 2nd rating from tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 23.03.15. As before, but with more dark malt and perhaps more bitterness in aftertaste.

Re-rate. From tap at DSJT at Cardinal 08.11.15. Dark brown. Beige head and lacing. Soft aroma of mediumn dark malt, dark syrup and dark caramel. Similar taste, balanced with moderate bitterness. From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 10.11.14. Clear copper. Pale brown head. Aroma of dry wood and roasted nut. A bit of smoked malt in taste. Fine aftertaste, both with peat and balancing bitterness.
