On tap @ Café Sara as “Pensjonisten”. Dark brown, almost black with a thin, lacing off-white head. Medium strength aroma of dark malt, slightly roasted, hint of liquorice and some pine. Flavor is refreshing, light roasted malt, hint of pine and pleasant bitterness. Medium body and nice bitter aftertaste. Totally OK, nothing extraordinary, but nice and easy drinkable.

On tap @ Kick. Unclear golden body with a medium sized, lacing of-white head. Aroma has a lot of fruit and freshly baked bread. Flavor is quite fruity as well with bread, yeast and some caramel malt with pleasant bitterness. Medium body and quite much bread in aftertaste as well. Interesting as a lager, does not remind me of any other lager at all. Have a slight suspicion that the previous beer at the tap line could have some influence on the flavor. Anyway not bad at all.

On tap at Kick. A hazy amber colored beer with a dense finger thick off-white head. It’s rather malty on the nose, bread, caramel and a faint roasted touch. Herbal, light resiny hops. It’s full bodied and softly carbonated, with bready malts, some caramel and a nice bitterness in the flavor. Lasting finish. Quite pleasant and easy drinkable, was a bit surprised over the maltyness, but it’s nice anyway. 140717

On tap at Øltorget, Oslo. Hazy amber with an off-white head. Hoppy aroma with fruity notes. Mild malty and caramely with notes of tropical fruits and hints of pine and butterscotch. Fairly decent and certainly drinkable, but not quite my thing...

On tap at Kick. An unclear orange colored beer topped by a dense finger thick white head. The aroma is quite herbal, with some banana. Pale malts and a touch of orange. It’s quite dry on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level, medium to full body. Oranges, some bitterness, hints of bubble gum and banana, and a touch of spices and pale malts. Lasting fruity finish. Not your average Belgian wit, but it’s a fine one anyway. 140703

On tap. Dark brown in color, close to black, and topped by a dense, dark beige head of finger-thick size. The aroma has a nice roasted maltyness, some dried fruits, green pine cones and resins. Some caramel too. The bitterness is good, as it should be, with some hoppy flavors like resins and pine cones. A hint of citrus too. Caramel and roasted malts. Full body and a pleasant carbonation level. Lasting bitter and lighlty roasted finish. Sure a nice one, although in my opinion too malt forward for a Black IPA. 140531

On tap. It’s a lighlty unclear copper til light brown beer, an off-white head sits patiently on top. The aroma has caramel, some lightly roasted malts, caramel sauce, hazelnuts and a touch of dark dried fruits. The flavor could use some more bitterness I think. It’s not that it’s too sweet, I just think it needs it. Roasted malts, caramel sauce, nuts and a faint bready touch. It’s full-bodied and soft on the palate, quite dryish, with a fine bitterness in the finish. This is one damn fine store strength beer. 140531

On tap. It pours a lightly unclear golden body under a nice, dense, white head. The aroma is fruity, with a little yeasty touch. Pale malts and a nice citrusy touch. There’s a pleasant bitterness in the mouth, blending nicely with the lightly sweetish pale malts. Some citrus fruit too. Medium to full body, soft and quite dry on the palate. Lasting bitter finish with some bready malts in the back. A refreshing and quite tasteful beer. Not very exciting, but nice anyway. 140531
