On tap at the 2010 Indiana Winterfest porter. Poured a clear light golden brown with an off-white head. Aroma was had spiced notes as well as notes of alcohol, and a bit light grains. Flavor had some spices, and sugar notes with lighter grains a coriander.

Hand-pull draft. Black pour with big tan head. The aroma is dominated by bourbon, but has notes of caramel and oak underneath. Hints of coffee and chocolate, too. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Strong dry bourbon flavor in the finish. Medium body. No carbonation. Velvety smooth texture. Enjoyable though the bourbon aroma and flavor overpowers the porter so that you donβt really know how good the porter itself is.

Dark brown pour with small, off-white head. Aroma is yeasty with strong mustiness, moderately malty with notes of cookie and caramel and lightly hoppy. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter in the finish. Medium body. Watery texture. Drinkable enough, but lacking the big fruitiness and complexity of the better dubbels.

Balanced toward sweet malts rather than hops. Caramel aroma with a bit of a hop nose. Taste of fresh caramel predominates. Still, there is enough hop bitterness and bite to keep the IPA honest. Nicely carbonated.

(draft- Indiana brewers fest)...called here Main Street chocolate rye brown...not sure if this is the same. Dark brown ale with Pleasant hops and perfumy aroma. Interesting melding of nutty malt and hops with a grape finish. Rich bodied.
