1/7/2025. Draft at Trotter’s Bar, Tirana International Airport (it’s downstairs after duty free by gate G14) Pours clear golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is malty, herbal, grassy, caramel, buttery, yeasty. Moderately sweet with medium bitterness. There’s an unpleasant edge to the taste. Not a highlight of the trip but good to find a new beer at the airport. Waiter confirmed it was 4.0% abv but was vague about where it was made.

30/6/2025. Bottle at Hops Bar Tirana. My last Albanian beer on this trip unless I find something at the airport tomorrow. This was hard to find but it was at the first place I went to all along. It’s not a great beer but it was wet, cold and kind of okay.

30/6/2025. Bottle at Cheers Irish Pub, Tirana. Pours slightly hazy golden amber with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, grainy, fruity, yeast. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body, average carbonation. Decent beer with Belgian blonde element. Better than it’s been credit for imo.

Visited 29/6/2025. Very disappointing beer selection. Just Korca blonde in bottles and some basic Western European stuff on draft. No Sabaja (Kosovo beer) for the last month, maybe a restock will come in two weeks they said. Which is a shame as the garden setting is lovely, I’d have happily spent a hour or two here boosting Kosovo numbers. But the helpful waiter said try Nçarshi in the castle so will go there next. EDIT - They didn’t have them either, said there was supply issues and doubted they would be appearing again.
