Large and lively bar with a solid tap selection. Interior is a bit of a mashup of elements without any real consistency. Service was fine but not really interested in a chat, I suppose because of it getting a bit busy in the evening. Had two good beers and left, will retry again to get a more complete impression because while it's a cool bar, I don't really get the hype. *** Returned another evening and my experience was the same, not that many interesting beers on and fairly expensive.

Extremely tiny but cute taproom with a wonderful tap selection of Vault City brews and a number of interesting guest beers. Be sure to make a reservation through the only booking service. Friendly guy on duty when we visited. Flights of 3 available, of which I happily consumed 3. Will stop here again on my visit to Edinburgh, the taps change pretty regularly was my impression.

Small to medium sized taproom with a modern craft beer vibe. Serviceable selection of mostly Fierce beers and a couple of guest taps. They do 1/3 pours which makes it easy to sample the menu. Fierce beers can be a bit average in their styles, so sampling is recommended. Staff was friendly and up for a joke/chat. Cozy vibe, decent music, not a bad place to hang around.

Crowded classic historical corner pub with a large centralized bar in the middle. Small selection of cask ales, traditional camra stuff not craft beer oriented. Service was friendly and offered some suggestions on where to go next. Had a number of unknown to me 1/2 pints. Go here for the classic pub vibe and interior, really neat.

Can from Beer Republic. Resinous hop aroma with notes of orange, malt, pine resin, some tropical fruit. Medium bitter with a light to mild sweetness. Above medium body. Fairly strong and resinous.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Old school Impie with an aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, cocoa and a touch of liquorice. Medium sweet flavour with a mild bitterness. More chocolate in the finish. Nice to have a pure-blooded Impie for a change in this barrel/pastry era.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Huge coconut aroma with the bourbon gradually creeping in. Full and boozy with notes of chocolate, roast, caramel, vanilla, more coconut. Smooth velvety mouthfeel. I suppose anything's better with coconut. A bit boozy, but lovely.
