Taste is also a good mix of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones with some light tropical notes, some grainy notes and a semi-sweet finish. Body is about full for style with a creamy feel with good carbonation. This NEIPA lacks attenuation and the malt bill could be cleaner. .

Bottle: Poured a black color porter with a small dark brown foamy head with limited retention and light lacing. Aroma of chocolate malt with some sweet vinous notes from the Tawny barrels. Taste is a mix of chocolate notes with some sweet vinous notes from the Tawny barrels with madeira notes and some residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation and faint warming alcohol notes. Enjoyable version of this classic but not sure the madeira taste is a good mix with the bitter chocolate notes.

Enjoyable version of this classic with barrels adding another dimension and vinous notes balancing the bitter chocolate notes.

Body is full for style with a creamy feel with good carbonation. Enjoyable double NEIPA but added attenuation would have been better and made the flavours come out more clearly.

Bottle: Poured a dark cloudy amber color ale with a medium size dark brown foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt notes with some toffee and bourbon notes with some vanilla notes also perceptible. Taste is also a mix of caramelized malt with some residual sugar notes offset by the bourbon and vanilla notes. Body is full with good carbonation and light warming alcohol notes. Solid BA barleywine with nice malt caramelization.
