The beer pours pitch black with a medium dark brown head that diminishes slowly. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and oak. Full body with flavors of milk chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla and oak. Phenol alcohol presence as well. The finish is rich and roasty with chocolate and coffee flavors lingering in the aftertaste. Very good overall, but would be stellar with a little more age to round down the alcohol a bit.

Can at Chophouse Denver who apparently do not make beer anymore. Slightly hazy golden color with a medium white head that burns away steadily to a film. Sparse strings of lace. Wheat, fruit and spice aromas. Light-bodied with flavors of floral wheat, banana, citrus and doughy malt. The finish is wheaty with a fruit and spice aftertaste. Decent overall.

This beer is a hazy reddish-orange color with a medium off-white head that dissipates slowly to a film. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of cherries, caramel and bready malt. Full, smooth body with flavors of dark fruits, sweet malt, caramel, and bourbon. The finish is oaky and fruity and leaves a sort of butterscotch liqueur aftertaste. Good beer overall.
