Sample at the taproom during the "11 Years of Bold Brews - Zaftig's Anniversary Party!" event on 05/17/2025. This beer is a dark amber-mahogany color with a thin off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of oak, fruit, bourbon and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, ripe fruit, caramel malt and a touch of earthy hop. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Good Barley Wine all around.

Sample at the taproom during the "11 Years of Bold Brews - Zaftig's Anniversary Party!" event on 05/17/2025. Clear yellow-gold color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lace. Tropical fruit, hops and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of pineapple, floral hop and bready malt. The finish is fruity with a short floral hop aftertaste. Decent overall.
