Retired American Luddite and refugee of the 2018-2024 Ratebeer/Anheuser-Busch (InBev) fiasco. Thanks Brewver for the chance to continue rating! ....... and yes, I'll soon be a supporter! ........ Since 1968, I've enjoyed all kinds of cheap macro pale lagers, starting with Carling Black Label bottles I found in Grampa Gino's wine cellar! Later, my dad had faves like Old Mil, Strohs, Bud, Coors Light and Piels! They were all good for a budding youngster like me. My ratings aren't to style, but how much I liked it. Thus, my fave styles; lambic, wild & flemish, rate much higher than IPA since I don't like bitter hoppy beers. You like IPA? The lower my IPA rating, the better according to style! There, you have it! Easy peezy, no worries!

$1 can off the clearance rack at beaver county beverage. Pour is like lemonade. Nose is nothing special, typical pale lager; just like their outlaw light, but with, just maybe, some artificial lemon aroma. I think I'm imagining that lemon. Nice big foaming white head that does not fade, but it does go kraggy. First taste is just like a cheap pale lager but there certainly is some lemon in there. Quite easy drinken, not sure about the tea. Comes across a little unique; something like a shandy but very light on the lemon. In the middle, the lemon nose gets stronger along with the lemon flavor, it keeps building. Now in the end, just maybe i'm picking up some tea. An overall quite refreshing session, not bad. Could easily drink a few of these babies.

Can from vintage 2$. Pour is really dark, like root beer with a nice foamy off white head. Civilized malty nose. Oh, first big swig tho, is not civilized. Its a bitter pointed sharpness with some smoky flavors on top of a rude somewhat terebinth extract flavor, whew. Big Pistacia terebinthus! Medicinal fer sher. Pretty nasty there, allagash. I think they made a mistake when brewing some experimental recipe and they had so much, they couldn't ditch it; so they just canned it and made up a name to sell it to the ticker whores. This brew is an accessory and ancillary appurtenant, controlled depending on the incidental counting, to ticking on brewver. There, you have it. I'm totally blown away by the uncultured, uncultivated, benighted and unsophisticated nature of this brew; especially since its classified as a belgian. Its an insult to the the Belgians. Dark american IPA? Maybe. I just wish it had more alky content to help me forget about the negativity of this session.

A 2$ can from vintage. Pour reminds me of pink ginger ale, looks clear with a bubbly pink tinge. No head. Nose is a tad boozy on mild berry. Stronger cider flavor, some berries and a warming sensation down the middle. There is berry fruit, but no discernible character of blueberry. Yes its tart, but you really can't say its dry. A little sweet for what it is. You'd think 8% cider would be much drier than this stuff. Not saying it isn't tasting good, just saying it comes across like many alky soda bombs. Yes, rather smooth for what it is and it goes down easy except for the alarming warming sensation. Just hope the sugar don't play havoc with my poor little tummy, hehehehh.

$2 bottle from vintage estate. Pour is clear pale with little or no head. Mild berry nose. First taste is a typical cider boys drink, lots of unfermented sugar. Goes down way too easy, does not show any alky content in the taste. Better keep this soda pop brew away from the kiddies. Yes there is some cranberry in there and pretty good carbonation, but I'm curious if the sugar in here will irritate my tummy. Mild tartness does wonders with the co2 level. Refreshing and very good taste. The girls will really go after this one. But if you are strictly a beer lover, you may not go for this. Its not dry at all.
