Can from Against The Grain. Hazy amber/brown body with a beige head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of toffee, Twiglets and coffee. Flavour of blueberry and plum. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. The colour is more brown than black but this is a tasty beer. I prefer black IPAs with a higher ABV.

Bottle from Great Grog. Clear deep
Golden body with a white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of straw and marzipan. Flavour of lightly roasted malt and earth. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. This is a little disappointing. It’s watery and forgettable.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy golden body with a white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of lemon sponge and peach. Flavour of lime, grapefruit and straw. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A tasty beer. On this evidence Citra and Vista (a new hop for me) combine very well.
