Not surprisingly it’s somewhat sweeter than I’d prefer, but it’s not too over the top on that. This cider is sweet and spicy. Donuts? I don’t know, but it’s alright..

Pours black with a small dark tan head. It smells of chocolate, oak, whisky, roast malt, coffee, and booze. The intense flavor is sweet but doesn’t go overboard on that. The chocolatey malt is joined by balanced whisky flavor with coffee notes more in the background. Alcohol is apparent, but not as much as one might think for a 15% abv. Full bodied and delicious.

Dark pour with a small lingering light brown head. It smells of roast malt and spicy yeast. The flavor is of roast malt, chocolate, holiday spices, and a little Belgian yeast. It’s full bodied and pleasant.

Very hazy pale yellow pour with a small dense white head. Smells of citrusy, resinous hops. It’s moderately bitter, a tasty, fruity, piney, malty brew.

Smells of juicy citrus and mango. The fruit is assertive in the flavor. It’s malty with a little piney character. Bitterness is mild to moderate. This is even more like a hazy than the Hop Dynasty though it’s not sold as one.

Pours clear gold with a two finger, dense white head. Smells of tropical fruit and hop resin. The flavor is quite malty with tropical fruit and moderate bitterness at most. Mild pine / resin. They obviously filtered this one and they aren’t calling it a hazy IPA, but given the not all that high bitterness level and malty sweetness, to me it’s closer to a hazy than the advertised west coast style imperial IPA.

Pours near black with a big tan head. Smells of chocolate malt and dark roast coffee. The flavor is malty and fairly sweet with coffee, chocolate, and roast malt. It’s good though I wish it was more robust.
