It bites my tongue with the taste of heavy grapefruit green. One of the meanest rudest brews I've ever seen. A West Coast wave of bitter tar pine, that ruins any senses and making me whine. Strong Citra stings like my aching back, while Mosaic joins in the wild nasty mouthful attack. A scorn of my palate and I drink to tick anyway because this is just another terribly bitter hopeless 2$ sue IPA.

On tap at Tip Tap Room, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma reveals light pine and crackery malt in good balance. Flavour is clean, with bright piney hops, crisp crackery malt, and a touch of oils. Nice balance, good pine expression, crisp finish. Very solid.

White peach, white grape, apple and gentle pine give a modern interpretation to this WC pale. Aromatic, fruity, lightly juicy and with no caramel. Well-malted it would seem, but all white bread/honey-like character to easily balance the tamer hoppiness.
Juicy tropical fruits mixing with staunch maltiness (white bread, cookie, honey) and a surprising dearth of bitterness. I get (and appreciate) a more modern styled WC pale/ipa with less resin, intense pine, bitterness, etc...but this is taking it too far. Malts nearly dominate. Even factoring in that this is coming up on 2 months old, it's still too much.

Seems to be confusion as to if we’ve got an APA or an IPA here. Added a commercial description that says it’s an IPA. The “Sue” line of beers appears to include both styles.
Anyway, to me this seemed like more of an IPA and a fairly solid one at that. It’s a citrusy one with crisp, lightly pine accented hops. Medium bodied. Quite good. I had higher expectations though.
