I think I had this bottle in the basement for at least a year but I’m not sure. Why doesn’t Dogfish Head puts dates on these bottles?

Anyway, it pours black with a small dark tan head. Smells of coffee, dark roast malt, chocolate, and booze. The intense flavor is of espresso, dark roast malt, chocolate, alcohol, and maybe vanilla. Mostly it’s a very big, intense coffee stout, which is fine with me. Excellent beer.

Pours clear deep gold with a small off white head. Smells of coffee, vanilla, and bourbon. It tastes sweet with coffee, bourbon, oak, chocolate, and vanilla. Interesting. It’s very good but for me it’s not on the level of the classic KBS.

Pours hazy pale yellow with a small white head. Smells of citrus and resin. The flavor is sweet and resinous with some citrus, mild bitterness, and a lot of malt. It’s medium bodied or more. It’s alright but not that great, especially at the high price point. To me the “Aspect of Gemini” I had a couple weeks ago from this brewer was much better.

Filthy McNasty Russian Imperial Stout from North High Brewing Company

Pours black with a small tan head. Smells of dark roast malt, chocolate, and coffee. The flavor is heavy on the roast on chocolatey, a full bodied and well balanced imperial stout. It doesn’t blow me away but this is a very solid stout.
