The series of World Wide Stouts from the brewery have generally been pretty fine. This 12 oz bottle was the best of the bunch purchased at a Total Wine in Albuquerque last month. A tulip glass ready, l pour. Glorious. Mahogany brown liquid with a here and gone skim of tan bubbles. But I do see plenty of carbonation activity and that is good. I smell coffee and chocolate, no great thrill there. So I proceed to a drink. And that is a huge improvement. Semi-sweet chocolate, coffee, wood, walnut fudge, grain, plums and hay. Decadently deep and full. Rich and boozy. Not my favorite out of the series, I’m not a fan of coffee as an adjunct, but I believe this is a high level imperial stout

Unique rating #7000
I think I had this bottle in the basement for at least a year but I’m not sure. Why doesn’t Dogfish Head puts dates on these bottles?
Anyway, it pours black with a small dark tan head. Smells of coffee, dark roast malt, chocolate, and booze. The intense flavor is of espresso, dark roast malt, chocolate, alcohol, and maybe vanilla. Mostly it’s a very big, intense coffee stout, which is fine with me. Excellent beer.

12 ounce bottle from Ridgeview Liquors, 4/3/25. Black, thin brown head, average retention. Aroma of roast, chocolate, coffee. Taste is roast, chocolate, raisin, coffee, caramel, vanilla. Very complex. Moderate booze but well balanced given the ABV. Very nice.

bottles - shared with a friend. I found this to be really good - complex flavors, not too thick very well made

Darkish brown, thin head. Rich coffee, has a light vanilla accent, some alcohol blast in the finish. Still good though, got that burly richness.

Dark brown almost black with a small head that just floats on top. Aroma is coffee, vanilla and burnt grains. Taste is also coffee, vanilla and boozy.
Chcocolate, coffee, bold, moderately sweet. Taste is along the same lines, roasty, moderately sweet, some spices.
Pleasant.

12 oz. bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is rich, with lots of espresso, vanilla, dark sugars, and big roasted malt. Flavour is much the same, with huge notes of espresso, vanilla, big roasted malt, dark sugars, and slightly above average lingering sweetness. Big and bold palate, with everything in good balance. The espresso and vanilla transform this into something quite different from what I remember of the original WWS that was 18%, but it's a great big impie nonetheless.
