Side by side with old fezziwig. Both pour clear amber. The winter lager is lighter, more orange than red. Both have off white heads. Lager has more retention. Aroma - both have similar spicy notes. Fezziwig has a richer caramel smell. A bit toasty. Flavor - caramel, orange, ginger, and cinnamon in the lager. The fezziwig has these too but with a more robust, toasty malt. I’d say the ginger is more apparent in the lager

Seems to be confusion as to if we’ve got an APA or an IPA here. Added a commercial description that says it’s an IPA. The “Sue” line of beers appears to include both styles.

Anyway, to me this seemed like more of an IPA and a fairly solid one at that. It’s a citrusy one with crisp, lightly pine accented hops. Medium bodied. Quite good. I had higher expectations though.
