Historic stand-alone building sandwiched between the river and the canal, for which it has terraces overlooking both, located at the town's bridge across both. It's a beautiful rectangular house that must have quite a few proud owner's in the past, today Salt Brewery have taken it over as one of their modern concerns. As such the interior has been renovated to look like most of their other new age bars, which is a bit of a shame given the chain-like appearance it now sports. Nevertheless there's Salt craft keg along the bar, Ossett cask ales and a guest or two on these as well, along the bar in the centre of the open plan ground floor. Its front terrace is popular and gets the sun all day, as does the canalside seats down the side of the building.
