Can shared with Morten at the end of Gloomhaven evening at MB2 13.05.26. Clear golden. Aroma of dried tropical fruits, ripe papaya, tawny marmalade, succade, pine and sweet pale malt. Lingering citrus bitterness.

From bottle at Muted Horn, Berlin, 10.05.26 after the IAEA congress in Jena. Cloudy pale pear colour. Aroma and taste of sour apples, pears, cinnamon and vanilla. Dry and acid mouthfeel. Good.

From tap at Muted Horn 10.05.26 after the IAEA conference in Jena. Cloudy golden straw colour. White head and lacing. Excellent aroma and taste of brett, acid cider and a hint of apricot. The apricot becomes more evident as the beer warms up. Acid and astringent aftertaste. Refreshing!

Visited 10.05.26 after the IAEA congress in Jena. 18 traditional German style lagers on tap – mostly pilsners. By the river. They do traditional, heavy German food. I had an enormous pork knuckle.

From tap at the brewpub near Hackescher Markt in Berlin 10.05.26 after the IAEA congress in Jena. Translucent straw colour. Persistent white head and lacing. Aroma and taste if sweet pale malt, syrup and German hops. Full mouthfeel. Good drinkability.

Visited 10.05.26 after the IAEA conference in Jena. Under a railway vault near the Hackescher Markt S-bahn station. They have a nice beer garden at the back. Nine of their own beers and one cider of their own on tap. The beers were both traditional German and modern American style. One of the beers was a seasonal, which was Bockbier at my visit. Also a few bottles. They do flights of six beers for 11 Euros. Friendly, English speaking service. They also do food. I didn’t eat, but the food at the neighour table smelled very nice.

From tap at Aznap, Budapest, 03.05.26. Hazy straw colour. White head. It tastes off, with a sour taste of infection. Also some orange and wheat. But mostly infection and poorly cleaned tap lines. I tried to finish it, but I can’t.
