Draft at Lemke Biermeisterei, Berlin, Germany. Pours slightly hazy dark gold with a large head. Aroma is sticky toffee, caramel and icing sugar. Taste has sticky caramel, a little orange and icing sugar.

From tap. Pours clear and golden orange, white head. Aroma is grassy, toasted malty. Light breadish, toasted malt. Bitter, toasted malty. Medium dry and bitter far finish.

300ml bottle from an Edeka in Berlin. Deep gold in colour with a slight, off-white, head. Malty strong lager, with some floral hops, ripe fruits, hay and lingering, bitter, finish.

On tap at Lemke Am Alex. A bit hazy dark golden with a white head. Malt, some caramel, light grass and hints of fruit. On the sweet side.

Bottle in our hotel room after a long day of walking and a little record shopping again, Saturday 7th August 2021. This was a really pleasant Maibock, light to mid amber in colour with a white head, fruity and with a steady maltiness, hoppiness subtle but present. Good, I really drank this quick a good beer.

Lemke Maibock, Fläschchen von Hit Ullrich in der Mohrenstraße (der Supermarkt der Kanzlerin). - Orangegold, fast klar. - In der Nase leicht karamelliges Malz und milde aber hintergründige, fein orangenfruchtige und leicht blumige Hopfung. - Antrunk satt und tief hellmalzig mit feiner Karamelnote und schöner, verhalten orangenfruchtiger Hopfenherbe. Leicht getreidig, dezent malzsüß. Milder rezent, mit der nötigen Schwere aber nicht plump. Im Abgang leicht trocken mit feiner zitrusfruchtiger Herbe. - Schöner, runder und eleganter Maibock, anfangs etwas zurückhaltend aber überzeugend. (20.4.2021.)
