Holmen2 Profile - Brewver (Dev)

From tap at Stifler Beerhouse & Kitchen, 06.07.25. Pale amber. White head and lacing. Aroma and taste of crystal malt, brittle, tawny marmalade and meadowy hops. OK, but not quite what I expect from a Czech pilsner.

Visited on a warm summer’s night 06.07.25. Shaded outdoor seating on the pavement near a busy city road and quiet and airconditioned indoor seating with plenty of space. It all looks nice and new. 14 beers on tap at my visit [25 beers on revisit April 2026], with most being well-selected craft beers. They do flights of four draft beers. Attentive and helpful English speaking service. Good food as well. My dessert of sweet cottage cheese dumplings was superb. They deserve a full house of customers!

Visited 06.07.25. Eight beers on tap, of which seven were Czech and the eight was Hungarian. All well-selected, interesting craft beers. Also a decent can and bottle selection with emphasis on Czech beer. Friendly, attentive and enthusiastic service. Close to a busy city road. They had some outdoor seating on the pavement, but that might have been to noisy.

Recommended.

From tap at Hetedik Lépcső, Budapest, 06.07.25. Translucent pale straw colour. Foamy and dense white head and lacing. Aroma and taste of chives, grass, herbs, resins and fresh hay. Not great.

From tap at Hetedik Lépcső, Budapest, 06.07.25. Cloudy straw colour. Dense, foamy and persistent off-white head and lacing. Superb aroma and taste with a strong personality. Herbal hops, chives, sorrel, pilsner malt. Served in perfect nick.

Mouthfeel that is full and crisp at the same time. Very quffable. An excellent beer!
