Holmen2 Profile - Brewver (Dev)

From tap at Zenta Kraft, Budapest, 05.07.25. Red. Diminishing white head. Aroma and taste of cherries, rhubarb, vanilla, gooseberries and kiwi. And yoghurt. Slightly astringent and acid mouthfeel. Interesting, and well-balnced in its own odd way.

Visited 05.07.25. A taproom for Etyeki on the Buda side of the river, in a quiet side street away from mainstream tourism. Some outdoor seating and a large bar downstairs in a style mixing modern with traditional dark wood. Friendly staff did their best. Around 18 beers on tap at my visit. Around half were beers from Etyeki, the rest were beers from Pomona, Mad Scientist and other craft breweries. Quiet even on a Saturday evening. Annoying background music.

Visited 05.07.25. In a semi-pedestrian street filled with tourists. 13 taps with industrial lagers and a few beers from micros. Even after conferring with the bartender, it was difficult to find out which some of these beers were beyond the brewery and the style. Simple local pub food. Friendly and English speaking service, although not much help in identifying the beers. I suspect that the beer I had might be slightly off or suffer from uncleaned pipes. Probably an appropriate place for the loud English youngsters at the table next to me, but not a destination for beer connoisseurs..

From tap at Krimó Pub és Sörfőzde on a warm sommer’s evening 05.07.25. Cloud pale straw colour. Dininishing white head. Aroma and taste of old lemons and limes, sorrel and pale malt. Not particularly amber and not particularly great. Perhaps it is slightly off.
