Appearance - matt black with a foamy tan head.
Nose - pine, roast, milky coffee and creamy chocolate.
Taste - pine, grapefruit, grapefruit pith and some creamy milk chocolate.
Palate - light to medium bodied, dry and zesty finish.
Overall - great stuff. A small window to perfect this hybrid style and they're in it!

Appearance - amber to brown and cloudy. Foamy, beige coloured head.
Nose - red fruit, dried orange, caramel and some nougat.
Taste - sweet spices like nutmeg and ginger, cola, light smoke and generous red fruit. Again, nuts, caramel and nougat.
Palate - medium bodied at least, roasty and spicy through middle and finish.
Overall - lovely stuff!
Appearance - deep brown to black and opaque. Crema head.
Nose - dark chocolate, liquorice, raisins and prunes.
Taste - more raisins, prunes, hazelnut and liquorice.
Palate - full bodied, rich and sweet with a boozy edge.
Overall - the barrel flavours come through beautifully.
Appearance - deep brown to black and opaque. Off-white
Nose - chocolate and hazelnut, into praline.
Taste - more of the same. Some toffee too.
Palate - medium bodied, sweet then light drying on the finish.
Overall - quite luscious and does exactly what it says on the tin.

Appearance - totally murky and sludgy brown and generally puddle like.
Nose - kiwi and mango for sure, not much cherry.
Taste - mainly kiwi and secondary mango. Still not much cherry.
Palate - medium bodied, zesty middle and finish.
Overall - tastes like real fruit and looks terrible but tastes a lot better.
Appearance - deep brown and opaque. Beige, crema head.
Nose - coffee, biscoffi, sweet spices and caramel.
Taste - sweet spices and biscoffi mainly. Some chocolate and coffee.
Palate - light to medium bodied, dry and lightly roasty.
Overall - ok for an adjunct.

Nose - toffee, brown bread and cake.
Taste - sweet toffee and caramel with malt loaf.
Palate - light to medium bodied light sweet middle and then light roast on the finish.
Overall - great example of the style.
Appearance - opaque jet black with a lovely tan to fawn head.
Nose - wood, raisin and prune. Some molasses.
Taste - wood, booze and dried fruits.
Palate - full bodied, wood and booze.
Overall - good.
