Our Imperial Stout Collab with Northern Monk Head Brewer and co-founder Brian Dickson. Loads of flavours of coffee and chocolate accompanying this satisfyingly smooth and sumptuous straight forward impy.

We will also be brewing this again later this year but this time we will distill and mature in an Oloroso cask to be released in 2030 as a single grain whisky by our Levenbank Distillery.

Enjoy the beer meantime and join us again in the future when we re-release the beer, a barrel aged version and the single grain whisky.

440ml can. Pours pitch black with a small tan head, dissipating immediately. Aroma of dark malts, molasses, liquorice, chocolate. Taste is rich and malty, molasses, chocolate, liquorice, a little coffee/roast malt, warming booze. Full bodied, smooth. This was fantastic, looking forward to the BA variants in 5 years time... surely I will remember this then...

From tap at The Bow Bar, Edinburgh. Roasty with liquorice, roasted malt, some dark chocolate, alcohol, more liquorice, some coffee. Medium sweet, mild bitter. Nice, heavy, a bit too liquorice-forward for my taste.
