Bottle at the theatre prior to watching daughter 3 in her performance. She was brilliant and the beer was pretty good. An IPA in the English style with lots of bitterness.

Pint while waiting for my chauffeur at the station. Good pour, lively in the glass and a fruity nose. The taste was fruity and wild, elderflower, rhubarb, grapefruit and maybe a little bit of cabbage! I loved it.

A good golden ale with plenty of bitter hops that work really well chilled on a warm spring day. Perfect alongside that great train picnic of a packet of Monster Munch.

Pint of draft in my local while.doing very badly on the quiz night. Looks good in the glass and a reasonable texture, but lacking any flavour. Not good at all.

Found it in San Francisco and brought back in the luggage to have at home. I was expecting a complete hop bomb, but discovered this is a very well made and very grown up DIPA. Not much to look at, but really well integrated hops that you have to think about. And it grew on my as the pint progressed. Yes, its very good, but I do struggle to understand what all the fuss is about.

Pint in the pub garden on an early Friday spring evening. Perfect pour and just how a cask porter should be. Deep brown in colour with rich malts and a welcome farmyard tang. Great way to start the weekend.
