It’s a brewery in a beach town - if you’ve ever been to one, you know exactly what you are getting yourself into, so I will spare the details - I will say, though, that they have a lot of outdoor seating and do a good job making a comfortable outdoor space for hanging - inside not so much and they allow dogs inside, which is gross - I don’t think there is a single thing on the food menu that is not deep fried, but the beer battered onion rings are delicious - beer is meh - their farmhouse ale was overly sweet and abrasively phenolic - counter service was fine, as were prices - it’s the only brewery in town, so drink up, nerds!

Large brewery space with a massive outdoor patio - lots of merch and to-go beer - they have a pizza kitchen inside that makes some pretty great personal pizzas - they have quite a bit on tap, but most of it is stuff you can find in cans and bottles in most stores in the region (I think maybe two non-standard products on my last visit, one Belgian single and a BA stout) - enough to keep it interesting, though, and some visits yield more interesting things than others - in a rapidly redeveloping old industrial area that now has the brewery surrounded by new brick apartment buildings (which was not the case just a few years ago) - really family-friendly, which is a bonus for me - there are better breweries to visit in RVA, but you would not regret a stop here - plus it is close to all the breweries in Scott’s Addition, so this is easy to add to an RVA brewery crawl - plus they are one of the OG Richmond breweries.
