Got info this was the best place for beer in Shanghai, but my first attempt to visit was unsuccessful since it opens at 17:00 (or something like that). I did managed to visit it later that evening and it paid off. 54 taps of all kinds of top notch beer - Side Project Horchata, Vanilla Abraxas, Pips mead (yes, on tap), Bramble Assassin from Toppling Goliath, Bourbon County variant, several lambics, Omnipollo, Tommie Sjef, Sieman, Saison Dupont, 3x Root+Branch, Other Half, Monkish, Tipopils variant. Crazy lineup. Main room has bar on one side and bunch of screens with all the beers. Lots of details, cozy and somewhat magical. Then we've started to explore the other rooms, different styles and setups. One of them has bunch of fridges. One fridge is bunch of US Hops - Monkish, North Park, Fidens, about 20 Tree House beers. 4 or 5 BCBS variats, Answer stouts, bunch of big bottles, lambics, bunch of Side Project sours, 3F, Cantillon, couple of bottles of Hill Farmstead, some Sake. And yes, this bar carries only imports, European, Australian and mostly US. Prices are not unreasonably high, less then you'd pay in Europe. I could spend hours and days here. Never thought one of the best beer places will be in China.

At first I was surprised our Shanghai contact set a wine shop as a meeting place. I certainly didn't feel like drinking wine. It's easy to miss and I've wandered into a big building (a hotel?) and a fancy restaurant on the corner only to be given proper instructions by the security guys.
The wine shop is small and a bit cramped. We got the special treatment and a chance to drink inside on a small folding chairs. It's nice to know right people.
The selection is all imports with at least two fridges full of US beers. Fidens, Other Half, Green Cheek, Tree House, Root + Branch, Deep Fried...lots of hyped hops in really good condition. Some Belgian beers, lots of de Molen, Mikkeller even Dogma from Serbia, some 3F and Cantillon. Halfway Crooks was a nice surprise as well. Superb afternoon, great beers, good people.
