St. Bernardus Abt 12 is a big, rich Belgian quadrupel with plenty going on. It has a deep, dark colour and aromas of dark fruit, caramel, malt and Belgian yeast.
The flavour is warming and sweet, with notes of raisins, plums, caramel and dark sugar, followed by a gentle spicy character. It’s full-bodied and definitely feels like a beer to take your time with.
For me, though, it’s just a little too sweet and heavy to score higher. There’s plenty of flavour, but it can become a bit rich after a while, and I’d prefer a little more dryness and balance.

A fantastic IPA with an inviting burst of juicy citrus and ripe stone-fruit aromas. The palate is beautifully balanced, combining vibrant hop character with a smooth, refreshing bitterness. Notes of peach, grapefruit and tropical fruit shine through without overpowering the beer’s crisp finish. Exceptionally fresh and full of flavour, with a wonderfully clean and lingering hop profile. A superb IPA from start to finish
