440ml can from who knows where. Poured a clear reddish brown colour with a short-lived, fizzy, off-white head. The aroma is big raspberries and grapes unsurprisingly. The flavour is moderate sour, light sweet, with a light, crisp, tart raspberry, light sweet vanilla palate. Medium to light bodied with lively carbonation. It’s ok to taste of course but I struggled to drink the whole can alone and it’s not something i’d ever buy again.

440ml can from Aldi. Poured almost black in colour with a thin broken off-white head. The aroma is big marshmallow, sugary. The flavour is moderate to light liquorice bitter and sweet, with a smooth, somewhat light, watery, sugary, marshmallow, light aromatic, light liquorice bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

550ml bottle. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malty, light woody hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, very light sweet, with a smooth, fresh, malty, green hop, light dry pepper spice, woody hop bitter palate. A good example of the style with some spiciness.

The flavour is moderate bitter, with a fresh, crisp, piney, grassy, juicy mango, grapefruit, hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Cask at the Pup & Duckling, Solihull. Poured a clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light hops. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a smooth, malt, light toffee, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not the most exciting beer I’ve ever had.
