Walked in at 23:10 and despite their advertised closing time of 00:00 they refused me service. It’s not entirely unexpected from Pasteur Street I have to say so I’m unsurprised. They call last orders at 23:00 they say, so that’s their closing time. I generally avoid anything Pasteur Street these days and this just reinforces my opinion of the company. It’s way out of the city and in my very humble opinion, not worth your effort to come here.

Tiny bar but with a great local beer selection and a few Belgian beers too. Friendly helpful and chatty staff. Food is available from local restaurants. Well worth an evening here and I will surely return. Not the easiest place to find. There is no big sign outside! A Vietnamese lady speaking French kindly pointed me in the right direction to the sliding side door!

330ml can at the 3B Bar, Saigon. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is malt, herbal, light orange citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, grainy mineral, earthy, light orange citrus, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Draft at the De Me taproom, Ho Chi Minh City. Poured a clear very light yellow, almost opaque colour with a mostly lasting fizzy white head. The aroma is light herbal. The flavour is light herbal with hints of rice sweetness, with a light, watery, crisp, herbal palate. Medium to light bodied with lively carbonation. Looks and kinda tastes like water. At least it was cold.
