A nicely decorated old style bar with lots of wood and bags of character. 14 beers on tap, which I have to say were not particularly interesting, but the can and bottle selection was impressive. Friendly and helpful staff. Working WiFi. Well worth stopping by.

Draft at Cafe de Tijd, Dordrecht. Poured a mostly clear golden colour with a lasting, frothy white head. The aroma is light caramel malt, light citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a fresh, crisp, malt, light toffee, hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Can from Locus Publicus, Rotterdam. Poured almost black in colour with a big, lasting, frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty, liquorice, alcohol. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter and sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, molasses, liquorice, warm boozy alcohol, liquorice bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Draft at Locus Publicus, Rotterdam. Poured a murky dark brown colour with a lasting frothy light tan head and so some broken lace. The aroma is roasty, chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liquorice bitter, with a smooth, herbal, light onion, light liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Ok, but I get the feeling that this wasn’t what the brewer intended.

The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a fresh, smooth, somewhat rich, grassy, floral, tropical citrus, some sweet honey, hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.
