Draft at Locus Publicus, Rotterdam. Poured a murky dark brown colour with a lasting frothy light tan head and so some broken lace. The aroma is roasty, chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liquorice bitter, with a smooth, herbal, light onion, light liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Ok, but I get the feeling that this wasn’t what the brewer intended.

Keg at 'If It Ain't Dutch'. Near clear brown beer, small pale tan head. Light palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Thinnish dark malts. Mellow coffee and cocoa, just a light touch of the biscotti. Light finish. A non pastry pastry. Fine.

Can at home shared with Laura. Dark brown colored beer with a small beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, oddly sweetish, a hint of coffee but also something sweet, maybe the cookie? Anyway, drinkable but not my thing tbh.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is coffee and vanilla with some roasted malt, caramel, toffee. Not really picking up the amaretto syrup. Flavour is medium sweet and relatively bitter. Thinnish body. Falls short.
