0.75 l bottle from 'Bergmann Stehbierhalle', bottle #60/100, best before August 2026. Very dark ruby to black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently vinous-fruity and a bit roasty aroma of caramel, red wine, some vanilla and light chocolate. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly roasty and gently vinous-fruity taste of caramel, chocolate, toasted hazelnut, red wine, some vanilla and hints of red berries, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, a little woody finish. Medium to full body, minimally astringent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. What a weird idea to wax a swing top bottle, took me at least ten minutes to open it. Anyway, quite a solid brew, very pleasant to drink, really well-balanced. The wine barrel adds complexity and a light but refreshing wooden note to it. Very enjoyable overall.

0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeers', 10.0% abv, best before November 2026. Hazy, very dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently yeasty-spicy, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, marzipan, cocoa, clove and raisins. 0.75 l can from 'Rebelbeercans', 2023 vintage, bottled in October 2023. A little hazy, very deep ruby with a thin, slightly fluffy, quickly diminishing, pinkish white head.
