440 ml can, as Sullivan's Maltings Irish Ale, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.0%. Dark cola to mahogany colour, moderate off-white to beige head. Aroma of brown malts, hints of prunes and red wine. Distinctly malty flavour, not too sweet, notes of dark bread, hints of burnt breadcrumbs and prunes. Very moderate but noticeable bittering hops in the finish. .

750 ml corked & caged green bottle, as St Médard Triple Blonde de Caractère, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 9.5%. Hazy golden colour, large white head. Aroma of spicy Belgian ale yeast, spicy hops and stewed pale fruits. The medium sweet flavour has the same elements, notes of alcohol, with a noticeable bitterness in the finish. A nice French triple.

330 ml can, as St:Eriks India Pale Ale, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.3%. Deep golden to orange / pale brown colour, small white head. Aroma of pine and grapefruit. Flavour also of pine and grapefruit. Bitter finish. A run-of-the-mill West Coast IPA.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.6%. Black colour, large to moderate beige head. Aroma of roast malt, hints of coffee, dark bitter chocolate, unsweetened liquorice and a whiff of smoke. Smooth mouthfeel. Pleasant flavour, not really sweet, but still slightly sweeter than the aroma prepared me for. Notes of roast malts, mild coffee and dark chocolate, moderate bittering hops.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 4.9%. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, large white head. Pleasant aroma of pilsener malts and grassy, herbal and floral hops. Smooth mouthfeel. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, with a distinct bitterness in the finish, becomes sharpish in the aftertaste.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.7%. Hazy yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma of peaches, papaya and guava. Pleasant flavour of various citrus fruits and tropical fruits, hints of sprucetips, low bitterness.

330 ml bottle, as La Rulles Pils, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 4.8%. Slightly hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts and floral and herbal hops, a hint of honey. Citric mouthfeel. The crisp flavour is well hopped throughout, floral and herbal notes again, bitter finish.

330 ml bottle, as Duvel Brewmasters' Selection Imperial Blond, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 10.0%. Fairly clear pale golden colour, large white head. Aroma of spicy Belgian ale yeast, white kandij sugar syrup, alcohol and stewed yellow plums. The flavour has the same elements, but is not too sweet, and surprisingly refreshing for its strength. Moderate hops.

Sweetish grassy and floral aroma, notes of pilsener malts and Czech hops, hints of honey.
