Pretty much the craft brewery in Uzbekistan, there is a bit more beer and some new things, but this is still the brewery, I mean look at the name. Quite a way away from everything so a Yandex is mandatory. The prices for beer are way cheaper, so you drink the fare in profit quite quickly. Bottling line outdoors visible, more of a bar area outside, kitchen visible outside, outside restaurant, more of a restaurant area and more of a bar area with a TV and different local party music playing with AC where we sat, many bars in one. Very friendly service, English menus available even but knowing Russian helps. More than a dozen taps, you can do flights of traditional beers and experimental beers, we did both. Bottled their beers are bad but fresh largely light and inoffensive which is good enough with one or two above average, mostly pleasant enough, we had a bunch of grilled stuff which was well done, tried one distillate also good, some things were out but that is normal. If you have the time absolutely worth the Yandex ride.

Khmelnov which is good from tap, macro and some bottled beers from bigger brand no Craft Brewing Company. Snacks available, pistachios were a bit expensive. Ultra limited space inside but they can put some tables outside next to the road. Not many options in Samarkand and every tourist from my country seemed to be here. Restuarant around the corner is a bit less casual but nicer terrace too and prices almost the same. Run by one guy who sometimes locks it when going on an errand so if not open just wait a bit if it should be open.

Czech style restaurant / brewery, upscale and bit tacky with the usual tv showing nature shots which is a popular choice in these parts. Filtered, unfiltered, svetly available and dark with the filtered being way worse. Not quite Czech in many way, unfiltered was okay. Staff seemed to be all Russian, friend tried suluguni which seemed basic, pickled mushroomed (seemed canned) and fresh vegetable, only place in central Azia where I had a poor tasting tomato, interesting but also not good. I would say that it is slightly better beer than Bier Regen.

What a very strange place in every aspect, absolutely massive, the Germany fantasy architecture on the outside. Massive but really massive interior that combines with large brewing kit and projections and large middle area, soviet hotel restaurant with German brewpub. During the day almost no clientele, anyone visiting Russian. Huge number of servers either hustling or doing nothing, one was just spinning a coin most of the time. Paulaner available for an insane amount of money, one beer on tap was 2-for-1 but it seemed to be an import and not their own beer, their own beers were okay-ish. Menu is everything, Oezbek, Georgian, SSSR even, friend tried an SSSR dish, surprisingly quality but not cheap. We went through their menu, dark, light filtered and non-filtered and Spaten (import? Far better than the rest). Odd for sure.

Located in Silk Road Samarkand, a baffling place with its massive canal, amusement park version of Samarkand out of town in the desert, it’s bordering on an affront to nature. This brewery / bar is in one of the posh hotels outside of our budget, Yandex is required to come here. Massive expensive hotel lobby with loads of people working there with not much communication and the number of employees not really increasing efficiency, we were the only customers. Serious wine list too everything considered. 4 beers on tap, this is the best brewery in Uzbekistan. Pilsner, stout, hefeweizen etc. are acceptable but the NEIPA was really solid against all expectations. Cards are accepted, atmosphere is weird but the quality is there, Sam Craft is way more comfortable. Far more agreeable prices too than expected, only slightly more than in town.

One of the two taprooms of Tengri, large, modern and full of expats and tourists, felt a bit generic but fine and a bit too spread out, tv playing old cartoons. About 10 or of their own beers on tap which were quite decent, pizza menu available too. Nothing stellar and not as good as the other local craft beer place but nice one all the same.

Approaching the building some locals heard us talking Dutch and asked where we were from. They got us a round of drinks and sausages; people are nothing if not hospitable in Kyrgyzstan. Beer garden of some German variety, pond in the middle, massive building with brewery equipment, we sat outside, some German styled food and 3 beers available. Lager & Kolsch (totally not like the German one) were quite decent and pleasant to drink, dark one tasted like loads of caramel coloring and was quite unpleasant, overall quite relaxing and we had a nice session here.
