Aroma and flavour have plenty of malts. Slightly burnt and bitter. Sweeter elements of dark forest fruits too.

Bottle: Literally black, small, but stable loose tanned head, moderate to solid nose of toasted mal and dried berries, herbal hops well detectable underneath; robust sweet-bitter flavour, nearly full bodied, really soft; lingering sweet-bitter finish with toasted malt and fruits, increasing bitterness towards the aftertaste. Very well balanced brew...

From the bottle. Dark brown with a frothy to creamy head. Aroma is dark chocolate, oak, and whiskey. Taste is mildly sweet up front, full of chocolate, finishes with a toasted grain bitterness full of ashes, coffee and barrel. Body is full, oily. Well balanced with a better mix between the porter and the barrel than most barrel-aged brews. Nice!
