500 ml purchased at Yankee Spirits, Sturbridge. Label reads just “ Gardener’s Tale “ without the word The. Paid $8.09. Batch 5, bottled June 2018. Nearly clear golden color. Aroma of sour wheat, light acid, lemon juice. Cracker malt, lemon, and a low salinity. Also a very low pucker factor after the sip. Leans on the traditional side of Gose and has a classic character.

On tap at Tasty Beverages, pours a hazy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out subtle floral hops, a touch of coriander and light salt. Flavour is along the same lines, with fresh citrus, coriander, and a healthy dose of salt. Not getting much hops. Very good.

Draft at Salud. Cloudy golden yellow color white head. Earthy almost salty aroma. Taste is salty coriander. Not sure that the dry hopping helps this one

Pours deep straw into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Heather and summer spice aromas. Sour rhubarb with salty robber upfront turning to mild meringue in the abrupt finish. Interesting.

Keg at Owl Farm. It pours cloudy light gold with a thick white head. The nose is fresh, earth, lemon zest, lime, bread, cracker and minerals. The taste is crisp, bitter, tart, minerals, light saltiness, good mouth-pucker, lemon, limeade and grapefruit with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Crisp, tart and crushable. Great balance. Very nice gose.
